The tortoise is an omnivorous turtle and can often be fed Some meat foods can also be fed to animals. Some turtles are also very suitable for turtle food. Tortoises that have been raised for a long time will ask for food from their owners, and you can also learn to feed them with your hands.

Hatchlings after hatching are very tender and should be raised alone and carefully controlled. Generally, another cement pool is built, with one-third of the pool being land and two-thirds of water. At the same time, it is suitable for feeding cooked egg white, egg yolk, cooked noodles, rice, minced fish, shrimp and other refined feeds. Generally speaking, it is best for hatchlings to survive the winter separately from adults. Most of the ways for hatchlings to overwinter are to place a small wooden tray indoors with 20-30 cm thick sand. Place the hatchlings in the sand, then sprinkle 0.5 cm thick gauze over the hatchlings, and cover it with gauze. Spray some warm water appropriately and you can survive the winter safely.

Adult turtles have a wide range of food habits, including small fish, shrimps, snails, clams, vegetables, rice and wheat. Generally, eating begins when the water temperature rises above 15 degrees. June to September is the peak food period, and food intake begins to decrease in November. When the water temperature drops below 15 degrees, add hibernation. The temperature is lower in the second season of Spring and Autumn, so the feeding time is set at 8 to 9 o'clock in the morning. During midsummer, tortoises move day and night, and feeding should be done at 4 to 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Turtles swallow with edema when eating. The bait swallowing capacity of tortoises is about 4% of their body weight, and they should be fed every other day. Leftover food should be cleaned up immediately after feeding to prevent infection and damage. Change the water frequently to keep the water quality fresh. The growth of tortoises is related to the quality of feeding. They are generally fed animal feed and can gain about 50 grams per month.
