Havanese Dog Characteristics

Physical Characteristics of the Havanese Dog
Havanese Dog (Definite Introduction)

The ideal height of an adult Havanese dog should be 9 to 10 inches, and the ideal weight should be 8 to 11 pounds. Although the Havanese dog is small, it is very healthy and will not appear excessive. Don't look weak. The most special thing about the Havanese dog is its short arms and legs. The walk is light and swift.
A neck of plain length, neither too long nor too short. The topline is straight and lifted slightly by the hips. The flanks are suitable for protrusions. Ribs round. The tail is high-rooted, curled on the back, and has long, soft silky feathers. When standing still, allow the tail to droop.
The bones of the front legs are healthy and straight, and the height from the elbow to the shoulder is the same as the height from the foot to the elbow. The dewclaws have probably been removed. Feet are close together, overly arched, and overly close together. All claws that turn in or out are faults.
Hind legs are relatively short, with healthy bones and muscles, and moderate angles; when viewed from the back, the hindquarters are straight. The dewclaws may have been removed. The claws are connected with the forelimbs. The fault is shared with the forelimbs.
The Havanese is a double-coated species, with equally soft undercoat and topcoat. The hair is very long, rich and looks very natural. Coat types range from straight to curly, with wavy coat being the most ideal. Curly Hair agreed to be tied up. The coat of an adult dog is about 6 to 8 inches long. Having a coat that is too long or too thick is not the best idea either. Of course, except for puppies, short coat is a fault. It is possible to braid the hair on the head separately above the eyes, but it is not possible to separate the hair on the back from the center and comb it to both sides. The hair on the head is not allowed to be trimmed, nor is it allowed to be trimmed or trimmed in any way, except for the hair on the soles of the feet, which can be trimmed to avoid the formation of "boat feet" or "slipper feet". Except for the hair on the soles of the feet, the hair on any other occasion is disqualified.
All colors, including from pure white to cream, champagne, golden, black, blue, silver, chocolate or a combination of all the above colors (two-color combination or three-color combination). Solid colors are not better than other colors.
The gait is unique and has a "quick" pace that emphasizes Harvey's cheerful temperament. The forelimbs are straight and the shoulders are not restrained, and the hindquarters have strong driving force, allowing them to move in a straight line. The tail is rolled over the back when walking. Riding posture, paddling posture, moving the middle and rear parts too close together, and not curling the tail over the back are all faults. Full of emotion and joy.
