Greater Swiss Flatland Dog (definite introduction)
The Greater Swiss Flat Dog is the largest among the Swiss Ground Dogs. It has a smooth coat and is easy to groom. It is a courageous, stable and quick-responsive working dog. In remote areas of Switzerland, Greater Swiss Flatlanders are used by farmers to herd livestock, protect and pull carts.
The Greater Swiss Flat Dog is like other typical dog breeds. The coat colors are mainly black and tan, with the tan area separated by black or white spots. The white spots locally spread to the chest, and the rest of the toes and tail end are also white.
Early uses were mainly for herding and herd protection, and also as family protection dogs and pulling dogs. It is full of energy, never tired, can maintain high energy no matter day or night, and has good jumping ability. This dog is safe, easy to train, and can also be used as a companion dog. Due to its large size, it is not suitable for keeping in the city.
