Clean up the dog’s eye feces immediately and wipe away his tears to prevent hair under the dog’s eyes. Producing tear spots is undoubtedly the most basic way. It should be understood that once the tear stains are formed, it is difficult to clean them, especially for dogs with white and light-colored fur. 1. Methods of diluting tear spots in dog eyes
The dry method mentioned here can only dilute tear spots to a certain extent, but cannot completely remove them. We might as well use wet wipes or wet cotton swabs to clear the dog's eye feces, then drip boric acid water or psychological saline from the corner of the eye, and then wipe the tear spots with cotton. After cleaning for a period of time, the color of the tear spots will gradually become lighter.
However, when doing this, you must be careful not to let boric acid water get into the dog’s eyes. Dropping some eye drops (chloramphenicol) regularly can prevent eye diseases. The eyes are also the windows of health. If the eye feces is different from ordinary transparent or dry brown, the conjunctiva (the white part of the eye) is red, or the cornea (the dark part of the eye) has white spots or damage, these are signs of illness, and you should seek medical attention immediately.
2. Prevention and Treatment of Tear Spots in Dog Eyes
Tear spots are caused by a large amount of tears and eye feces that are not cleaned immediately, causing the coat under the eyes to turn red. Once tear spots are formed, it is difficult to clean them, so you should clean up the dirt in your eyes immediately to prevent the formation of tear spots.
If tear spots have occurred, you can drop dilute boric acid water or psychological saline from the corner of the eye; then, wipe the tear spots with cotton, and continue to clean them to gradually make the tear spots lighter.
