Blind snakes
Because blind snakes like to rest in burrows, Moreover, they are small in size and good at digging, so they are often confused with earthworms. It turns out that the only difference between the blind snake and the earthworm is that the body of the blind snake is not divided into obvious segments.
The hooked blind snake is smaller in size. The largest African giant blind snake can reach 750 mm, and the total length of common species is less than 200 mm. The tip of the snout is slightly flat. The eyes are hidden under the eye scales, and the mouth is small, located on the ventral surface of the head. The maxilla lies transversely and is closely connected with the skull, with a small number of teeth on it; the premaxilla, palatine and pterygoid are toothless, and a few species of mandibular teeth have one tooth at the front. The vertebrae have vertebral processes and vertebral arches. There are remaining waistbands, which may be just a rod-shaped bone, or may have completely deteriorated and disappeared.
